Alex Lynn secures Williams F1 role

Williams Martini Racing has announced reigning GP3 Series champion Alex Lynn will join its team as a development driver for the 2015 season. The Englishman, who dominated the feeder series last season with Carlin and will this year step up to the GP2 Series, will take on development duties of the team's new Mercedes-powered FW37 through simulation work and assisting race engineers with set-up. Lynn will get his first run in the car during May's F1 test following the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya. Having seemingly opted out of the Red Bull driver development scheme, Lynn is confident his collaboration with Williams will improve his chances of progressing to an F1 race seat....
