Vergne eyeing 2016 race seat at Ferrari
– Toro Rosso outcast Jean-Éric Vergne reckons his switch to Ferrari will provide an "excellent opportunity" for the 2016 Formula 1 season.Vergne, now racing in Formula E, was handed a simulator-based test role by the Italian marque after losing his place at Red Bull's junior team.Whilst Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen hold the race seats, the Finn only has an option for 2016, and Vergne hopes his chance will come."I know I gave my best [for Toro Rosso] and that's why I have no regrets, and now I'm at Ferrari, which is an excellent opportunity for 2016," Vergne told La Gazzetta dello Sport."Even though I'm not able to race this year, it's better than...
