Ricciardo thanks Crash.net readers for award
Daniel Ricciardo has thanked readers of Crash.net for voting him the 2014 F1 Driver of the Year. In his first year driving for Red Bull after stepping up from Toro Rosso, Ricciardo outperformed team-mate and defending world champion Sebastian Vettel to take three victories. Having finished a clear third in the drivers' championship behind the two Mercedes drivers – who between them won the other 16 races this year – Ricciardo came out on top in the Crash.net poll. With over 100,000 votes cast, Ricciardo beat Lewis Hamilton to the title of Driver of the Year with an average score of 8.6 out of 10, and reacting to the result Ricciardo thanked Crash.net readers for voting for him. “It...
