No one saw it coming, but when it did the reasons became patently obvious – Sebastian Vettel to Ferrari was a huge surprise to everyone, including Red Bull themselves.
From day one of the new v6 turbo era Vettel was not a happy camper, his body language throughout preseason testing revealed a four times champion very unhappy with what he was driving. And he spared no time in verbalising his dissatisfaction.
Then along came the new season and regular trouncing by Red Bull new boy Daniel Ricciardo had the world champ on the back foot where he stayed all season long.
