Ricciardo voted best driver by GPUpdate readers
– Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo has been voted the best driver of the 2014 Formula 1 season by GPUpdate.net readers, edging out Mercedes rival and World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the latest poll.Ricciardo, the only non-Mercedes driver to triumph this year, received a majority 26 per cent share of the thousands of votes cast over the past week.The Australian stormed to his maiden win at the Canadian Grand Prix, and followed it up with victories at the Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps.Hamilton, who secured his second world title with victory at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, finished just two per cent adrift.Hamilton notched up 11 wins, five of them in succession, and a...
