Newey and Red Bull to work on America's Cup project

Getty Images Enlarge Adrian Newey will get the chance to conquer sailing's prestigious America's Cup after Red Bull announced its technology division will team up with Olympic legend Ben Ainslie next year. Red Bull Advanced Technology (RBAT) is one of the new projects Newey is fronting after signing a new three-year deal to work on projects alongside Formula One from 2015 onwards. Technical guru Newey, who has orchestrated success at Williams, McLaren and Red Bull, stepped away from a full-time role in Formula One after rejecting the overtures of Ferrari earlier this year and growing disillusioned with F1's restrictive regulations.
