McLaren-Honda test car set for Friday Silverstone run

Honda's brand new 2015 hybrid-V6 power unit will get its first on-track debut on Friday during a 'filming day' with McLaren at the Silverstone circuit. McLaren hoped to run the engine for the first time during the post-season Abu Dhabi test in a fortnight, but with Honda pushing development forward, the engine will receive its first test run tomorrow. McLaren have constructed an interim MP4-29H specifically for the run to ensure they can test the installation of the unit ahead of pre-season testing next year. It hopes the run will iron out any issues they may face, as well as giving them and Honda invaluable data to evaluate over the winter. The team posted a tweet on Thursday morning...
