Lotus won't boycott US GP

Lotus have rubbished rumours that they would boycott Sunday's United States GP in protest to Formula 1's financial crisis. Neither Caterham nor Marussia is in Austin this weekend as both teams have gone into administration. Crippled by the financial cost of competing in Formula 1, the two backmarkers are desperate to find buyers to keep them in the sport. The demise, temporary or otherwise, of the two teams led to some reports that Lotus, along with Sauber and Force India, could boycott Sunday's race in protest. Lotus, though, have denied this.
