Verne: I'm Toro Rosso's best option to partner Verstappen
+ Jean-Eric Vergne insists he is the best option to partner Max Verstappen at Toro Rosso next season.
Vergne was originally dropped by the team, after Toro Rosso announced that it had signed 17-year-old Formula 3 racer Verstappen to race alongside Daniil Kvyat for 2015.
However, following Sebastian Vettel’s shock announcement that he was to leave Red Bull at the end of the season, the senior squad snapped up Kvyat to replace the German, freeing up the Russian’s seat at Toro Rosso.
While Red Bull juniors Alex Lynn, Carlos Sainz Sainz Jr and Pierre Gasly all remain in contention for the seat, having all impressed in 2014, Vergne still believes he is the perfect choice to partner the...
