Austin official: 'Unfortunate' if Seb skips qualy

Sebastian Vettel looks set to miss Saturday's qualifying session at Austin, but US GP race officials are confident it won't affect ticket sales. The four-time World Champion requires a new engine for this weekend's grand prix as he has already used his allocation of five power units for the season. That would usually result in a grid penalty, but if Red Bull opt for a complete power unit change then he would have to start from the pitlane, making it more beneficial to skip qualifying to save engine mileage. Vettel has all but confirmed he will take the penalty, but he was impressed by the rule. "It looks like it will happen in Austin," the German said after the Russian GP....
