Bottas positive despite tyre blanket failure
Valtteri Bottas said Friday was a positive day for Williams, despite an unusual tyre blanket malfunction that caused him to miss the final part of practice one. The Finn ended the session in 10th place, after he was forced to sit out for the last 35 minutes due to the problem, which ruined the set of tyres he was set to use.
However, he managed to make up the time lost in practice two. 'It is the first time it has happened, but I guess these things can happen,' he said on the unusual problem.
'It didn't hurt much as a whole day because I still got a good amount of laps in during practice two.
'We drove a bit more in FP2 because of the earlier problem and in the end I got nearly the same...
