Ferrari on Alonso: team interest is highest priority

As Ferrari continue to struggle to lift its car’s competitiveness, rumours about tension between the team’s leading driver Fernando Alonso and the Scuderia are persistent. The team confirmed to F1technical that the car is the highest priority. This year the Scuderia have gone through sweeping changes. After the slump in Bahrain Stefano Domenicali resigned. Summer brought an excessive change in the engine department when long-serving Ferrari engine guru Luca Marmorini was axed. After the Italian GP Luca di Montezemolo has withdrawn after having been the first man of the whole Ferrari company for almost 23 years.
