Hamilton storms to pole despite Ferrari threat in Singapore

Lewis Hamilton has managed to storm to pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix, despite a strong threat from Ferrari throughout the all-important qualifying hour. The Briton will start alongside his team-mate Rosberg, with the Red Bull duo of Ricciardo and Vettel third and fourth. The all-important qualifying hour began under the iconic floodlights around the tricky Singapore street circuit, with the Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat becoming the first of many drivers to immediately elect to take to the track at the start of the session. The Russian rookie was soon joined by a whole host of drivers eager to begin their qualifying runs, including the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg....
