Vergne: I have potential to be what Ricciardo is
Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo as Toro Rosso teammates
Although he is plying his trade at the very summit of the sport, Jean-Eric Vergne has not been on the receiving end of much good news during the past year or so as he lost out to Daniel Ricciardo on promotion to the Red Bull team, and most recently was informed that his tenure with Toro Rosso will be over at the end of the 2014 season.
Nevertheless the Frenchman is adamant that given the opportunity he can match his former teammate Ricciardo, who has been a revelation at Red Bull, and believes he has a lot to offer teams who may be interested in his services.
