Mercedes confident Rosberg issue rectified
Mercedes executive director (technical) Paddy Lowe says the team is confident there will be no repeat of the gearbox problems which hit Nico Rosberg at Silverstone. Rosberg was leading the British Grand Prix from team-mate Lewis Hamilton when he started to complain of problems on upshift, eventually retiring with gearbox failure to hand Hamilton victory. While Lowe said Hamilton's win in his home race was a popular one, he said the focus at Mercedes since the race was to understand the problem Rosberg had and prevent a repeat. “Silverstone saw a fantastic win for Lewis on the occasion not only of the 50th British Grand Prix, but also the 60th anniversary of the first Formula One victory...
