McLaren 'relaxed' about possible FRIC ban

Eric Boullier admits the FIA's directive on FRIC suspension systems "came as a surprise", but don't think it will have much of an impact on McLaren. FIA Race Dictor Charlie Whiting sent a letter to all teams on Tuesday stating that front and rear interconnected [FRIC]suspension systems could be banned at as soon as the German GP. However, the sport's governing body will need to get the go-ahead from 11 teams before they can outlaw the system. Should the teams oppose their view, then the FIA will only be allowed to adopt the new rule for next season.
