Vandoorne encouraged by McLaren progress

McLaren reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne says he is encouraged by the progress made by his team since he last drove the MP4-29 in May.
Vandoorne received his second taste of Formula 1 machinery on the first day of the third in-season test at Silverstone and set the sixth quickest time.
"It was definitely good to be back in the car, done quite few laps today, not as many as we would have liked but anyway it was some good running, lots of aero work in the morning, development runs, bit of work in the tyres this afternoon so all in all a pretty good day," said the Belgian.
"I could feel progress, which is very encouraging. Obviously still some work to do but...
