British Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton celebrates on the podium
Lewis Hamilton's triumph in front of his home crowd at the British Grand Prix will go down as one of the sweetest of his 27 Formula 1 victories, not only did he return to his winning ways but also slashed his teammate Nico Rosberg's championship points lead in a case of role reversal for the Mercedes drivers.
Hamilton – who made a self confessed error in qualifying 24 hours earlier which saw him line up sixth on the grid – has suffered two mechanical DNFs so far this season, and until the Silverstone race Rosberg's Silver Arrow had been bullet proof, but on lap 30 the German lost drive as the gearbox on the...
