Fernandes sells Caterham to new owners, as Albers takes the helm
After much speculation over the past few weeks, it was rumoured that Caterham owner, Tony Fernandes, could be in the process of selling the Leafield-based operation.
His recent tweet last Friday, stating that 'F1 hasn't worked, but love Caterham Cars,' was the biggest clue to the fact that his relationship with Formula One was soon to come to an end, which became official this afternoon with immediate effect.
Fernandes has now closed down his Twitter account, and will continue concentrate on his commitments on the road car aspect of the business, as well as his directorial role at Air Asia and Queens Park Rangers. The Malaysian had already stated earlier this season that he would look...
