Ricciardo secures maiden F1 win in Canada
Daniel Ricciardo claimed his maiden Formula One win after a fine drive from sixth on the grid at the Canadian Grand Prix It was a beautiful, hot sunny June afternoon in Montreal, perfect conditions for an exciting Canadian GP.
As the lights went out to start the Canadian GP many wondered if Hamilton would try to pip Rosberg into the first corner. In fact, Hamilton lost out to Vettel’s aggressive start and was very careful if not lucky to avoid contact.
Further down the order, two team mates were involved in a collision which ended in a double retirement for the Marussia team. The retirement was the first of Max Chilton’s F1 career.
