Mercedes back on top as Hamilton leads Rosberg
Sutton Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton resumed normal service during the second session of Friday practice for the Canadian Grand Prix by topping the timesheets 0.175s ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton had the edge over his team-mate when it came down to the super-soft tyre runs, and despite Rosberg briefly holding the fastest lap, Hamilton hit back with a quick lap to assert his dominance early in the weekend. Sebastian Vettel clocked the third fastest time, but took on the super-soft tyres at a later stage than the rest of the top ten, meaning he had better track conditions for his quick lap.
