Leimer completes fantastic Lotus test
Fabio Leimer described his test in a Lotus F1 car as “an absolutely fantastic experience” after Pirelli ran him at Paul Ricard on Tuesday. The test was part of a prize from Pirelli for winning last year's GP2 championship, with Leimer not having managed to get a seat in F1 this season. It was the second time he has driven an F1 car following a day at the 2011 Young Driver Test for Sauber, and Leimer – who completed 78 laps in the 2012 car on demo tyres – said he had learned a lot from the test. “It was an absolutely fantastic experience and I really enjoyed myself,” Leimer said. “In the morning we had a bit of understeer due to the conditions, but during the long runs in the...
