Race winner Nico Rosberg leads Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton Nico Rosberg drove a faultless race, doing all that was needed to stave off a concerted attack from his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton, to score his second win in two years at the Monaco Grand Prix, a venue the German considers his home circuit, in what was an incident packed race with a high attrition rate that claimed world champion Sebastian Vettel very early on in the proceedings. The win sees Rosberg go top of the 2014 Formula 1 world championship points table, while giving him the psychological edge in the increasingly tense inner team battle with Hamilton.
