Kobayashi apologises after shunt ends day
Caterham F1 Team
Kamui Kobayashi apologised to his Caterham team after he crashed out of the first day of the second in-season test in Spain.
Kobayashi lost control of his CT03 at turn three and damaged the right front side of the car.
The Japanese driver ended the day ninth fastest having completed 72 laps.
"We just had oversteer, we changed some settings but we locked up straight away and had a completely different balance," he said.
"And unfortunately I hit the wall."
"There is quite a lot of damage to the car so I’m sorry for the guys in the garage who now have a long night ahead to fix the car, but the only good thing is that it was at the end of the day...
