McLaren 'might' test Honda engine at Abu Dhabi

McLaren's MP4-29 could be Honda powered before the end of the season according to racing director Eric Boullier. The Frenchman says the team are considering swapping out their Mercedes V6 for Honda's at the final test session of 2014 which follows the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. With a signed contract in place with Mercedes, they're unable to run it any sooner, but with Abu Dhabi marking the end of the season, the two-day test isn't covered by the contract. "We have thought about it," admittd Boullier "We are currently running a Mercedes engine until Abu Dhabi so we will not run anything else, but we have thought to maybe try it [on the] car afterwards."
