Ricciardo Content with Qualifying but Vettel’s Torrid Weekend Continues
Daniel Ricciardo insisted third was the best he could have hoped for during qualifying in Spain but Red Bull Racing team-mate Sebastian Vettel will start fifteenth after breaking down in the third part of qualifying and incurring a five-place grid-drop penalty for being forced to change his gearbox.
For Australian Ricciardo, he is best of the rest behind the dominant Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, but the one-second gap to the silver machines is a virtual lifetime in Formula 1, but he admits he aims to close down that gap.
