Pole still crucial despite pace - Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton was in ominous form on Friday Getty Images Enlarge Lewis Hamilton believes the nature of the Circuit de Catalunya means pole position is still of vital importance on Saturday despite his pace during Friday's practice sessions. Hamilton looked untouchable in both FP1 and FP2, especially so in the latter, as Mercedes once again demonstrated ominous pace to the rest of the field. But during his runs Hamilton occasionally came up behind back markers and he feels the difficulties in overtaking in Spain means a mistake in qualifying could compromise his chances of a win on Sunday. "I think even with the pace we have it's always important to get pole," Hamilton said....
