'Korea dropped to make way for Azerbaijan'
– The Korean Grand Prix is to be kept off the Formula 1 calendar next season to make way for a new race in Azerbaijan, according to a report in The Independent. South Korea lost its place on the 2014 roster after complaints about poor attendance figures and a lack of infrastructure, with the purpose-built facility located 200 miles from the country's capital city, Seoul. Azerbaijan's event will take place on the streets of its capital, Baku. "Baku has been signed. It will start in 2015 and will replace Korea," Ecclestone is quoted as saying.
