Alonso warns Ferrari against overreacting

Sutton Images Enlarge Fernando Alonso has urged Ferrari not to overreact to the gap to Mercedes after Friday practice at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Alonso was third fastest in FP2 but still over a second off the pace of Lewis Hamilton at the top of the timesheets. With the first practice session being held in daylight and the second practice session being held in much cooler conditions, Alonso said Ferrari had to be wary of factoring in the changing conditions while trying to chase Mercedes. "Even if we did a lot of running here in winter testing, now it's like starting from scratch and one has to adapt to the new indications coming from the differing track conditions," he said....
