Hamilton shunts following front wing failure

Hamilton had earlier been present at the launch of Mercedes's W05. Mercedes AMG Petronas Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes suffered an early setback after the front wing on the Brit's new W05 failed on the first day of testing. Hamilton had just set the fastest lap of the day when his front wing failed approaching the first corner. The Brit was unable to prevent his car from crashing into the barriers on the outside of the turn, leading to extensive damage at the front of the car. Hamilton was not injured in the accident.
