Former F1 engineer Hart passes away
Brian Hart, a former Formula One engine builder who worked for the likes of Toleman, Jordan and Minardi, has died at the age of 77.
It was confirmed on Sunday that Hart passed away following an illness.
Hart's one and only F1 race was at the German Grand Prix in 1967, but it was his work behind the scenes through engine building where he won most of his plaudits.
He started his own company in the late 60s and initially supplied Ford engines for Formula Two cars before he started to develop his own engines after teaming up with Toleman in F2.
The successful combination moved up to F1 in 1981 and Hart's 415T turbo engine eventually helped Toleman to three podium finishes three years later...
