F1 engine builder Brian Hart passes away

– F1 engine builder Brian Hart died on Sunday after a long battle against illness. He was aged 77 years-old. Hart’s company built F1 engines for a number of teams, including Toleman, RAM, Haas Lola and in the early/mid-1990s, Jordan and Arrows, taking five podiums in total - including the first for both Ayrton Senna (in 1984) and Rubens Barrichello (in 1994). He also raced himself and actually qualified for the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in 1967 – his sole outing in F1. “Our thoughts are with the friends and family of engine guru Brian Hart, who passed away yesterday, aged 77,” tweeted the Sahara Force India F1 team. “Brian's engines powered the previous...
