Schumacher situation 'slightly improved'
– Michael Schumacher's condition has improved over the last 24 hours, doctors have told a news conference this morning, although they have stressed they are 'unable to say he is out of danger' and he had a second operation overnight. Schumacher sustained a serious head injury in a skiing accident in the French Alps on Sunday morning. The ‘surgical intervention’ carried out late last night came after a brain scan showed a ‘slight improvement’. The operation, which took two hours, was done to reduce inter-cranial pressure.
