Pérez in favour of double points rule

– Sergio Pérez, who was announced as a Force India driver on Thursday afternoon, has become the first high profile Formula 1 figure to publicly support the new concept of awarding double points for the final race of the season. The proposal, cleared for 2014 at a meeting of the sport's Strategy Group and Commission this week, has received largely negative views from fans, while World Champion Sebastian Vettel described it as "absurd".
