Rosberg completes Friday clean sweep with fastest in the afternoon rain

Nico Rosberg made it a clean sweep on Friday, as the German topped the afternoon practice session around Interlagos for Mercedes ahead of Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix. Rosberg saw off a late rally from Sebastian Vettel to top the session with a fastest lap of 1:27.306, some two tenths up on the four times champion in second, while Mark Webber managed third on what is his last Grand Prix weekend. With the rain continuing to fall on the Interlagos circuit, the blue side walled wet Pirelli’s were the tyre of choice as the green light signalled the beginning of free practice two, with the intermediate tyres only coming to the fore in the late stages of the hour and a half session, which...
