Perez: McLaren didn't face facts early enough
McLaren driver Sergio Perez has hit out at his team for lacking humility and being too expectant of him when the MP4-28 car was underperforming.
The Mexican is set to be dropped for the 2014 season in favour of junior driver Kevin Magnussen after he failed to produce the same kind of performances that earned him the seat in the first place. That said, the MP4-28 car has failed to live up to the team's own high expectations, but it has all led to Perez becoming incredibly frustrated as the exit looms.
'I'm very disappointed,' Perez explained to Brazilian publication Totalrace. 'I think when your goals are much higher than your results, you get disappointed.'
