Kimi back to short-wheelbase

Kimi Raikkonen will switch back to the short-wheelbase Lotus at the United States Grand Prix in an effort to eradicate understeer which he feels has hampered his recent performances.The Enstone-based team trialled the long-wheelbase E21 during practice for the Italian GP and raced the package on both cars in Korea, Japan, India and Abu Dhabi as they felt it gave better weight distribution and an aerodynamic improvement. During that period Raikkonen has only finished on the podium once - a second place in Yeongam - and he hopes the switch back to the older design will help him find a handling balance more suited to his driving style.
