Mercedes: We have a real fight on our hands

Mercedes risks losing touch with the battle for the runners-up position in the 2013 constructors championship, if they suffer a second successive slump following on from the Japanese Grand prix, where Nico Rosberg rescued just two points for the team after Lewis Hamilton's early retirement. Hamilton's fifth place the previous week in Korea was the best result of either driver in the last two outings, meaning that the team's chief rivals Ferrari have moved away to a ten point lead in second place in the championship standings. More worryingly, Lotus are rapidly approaching from behind thanks to the double podium the team won in Korea followed by both drivers also finishing in the top five...
