McLaren interested in signing Alonso for 2014
McLaren is interesting in poaching Fernando Alonso from Ferrari for next season, provided the Spaniard’s contract with the Italian team is dealt with. Alonso has an agreement with Ferrari to drive until 2016 but with the arrival of Kimi Raikkonen next year and the disappointing cars that he has been handed over the last few seasons, the double world champion is believed to be sniffing at other options. Earlier in the season, Alonso was linked with Red Bull as a replacement for Mark Webber but that didn’t materialise.
