We need to be lucky, admits Alonso

Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has conceded that he "needs to be lucky" if he is to prevent Red Bull rival Sebastian Vettel claiming a fourth world title this season. The Spaniard could do nothing to halt Vettel's charge during the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, and had to settle for the runner-up spot. He falls another seven points adrift in the championship standings, and is now trailing by a margin of 53. "I think we need to be realistic," explained Alonso. "It's still a very big gap and we don't have enough races, and probably not the speed right now, to win some consecutive races.
