Practice One - Hamilton edges ahead in Italy

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg gave their teams hope that Red Bull might get a run for their money at Formula One racing’s ‘cathedral of speed’ Monza, during first practice on Friday morning, as they held runaway Belgian Grand Prix victor Sebastian Vettel down to fourth place.Hamilton topped the times for Mercedes with 1m 25.565s, 0.035s faster than crowd favourite Alonso who took his Ferrari round in 1m 25.600s.
