Sirotkin to attend Italian Grand Prix
The Italian Grand Prix weekend will mark the first time that Sergey Sirotkin attends a race as an official member of the Sauber Formula 1 team, with the squad ramping up preparations to promote the Russian driver to a race seat in 2014. The signing of Sirotkin to Sauber’s driver development programme sparked a fierce debate over the merits of pay drivers in the top echelon, with the Russian’s suitability for a race seat coming under scrutiny.
