Mercedes applying Spa's lessons to Monza
Mercedes has refined its low-drag aerodynamic package for the Italian Grand Prix after struggling for front-running pace at the Belgian Grand Prix. Despite qualifying on pole in the wet, Mercedes was off the pace of rivals Red Bull and Ferrari in the dry. Executive director Toto Wolff said the team has made some tweaks to its car from the lessons it learned at Spa-Francorchamps. "In Monza, we will use a refined version of the low-drag package introduced at Spa," he said. "We hope to see an improvement in race pace after the lessons we learned over the race weekend in Belgium."
