McLaren confident of competitive 2014

McLaren Sporting Director Sam Michael is confident that the team will be able to return to race-winning form next season, insisting that the Woking-based outfit has learnt from the engineering errors that saw them drop off the front-running pace in 2013. The squad ended last season possessing what was generally accepted to be the fastest car, but has been unable to reach the podium positions this year, with Jenson Button’s fifth-place finish at the Chinese Grand Prix representing the best result.
