F1 tyre contract situation 'bizarre' - Pirelli

Pirelli's Paul Hembery has described the current situation surrounding Formula 1's tyre supply contract "bizarre" as the Italian company is yet to receive confirmation if it will be the sole supplier next year. Pirelli's exclusive three-year supply deal ends this season, but with no tender going out to seek new suppliers, Pirelli has pushed forward with its plans for the 2014 season.
