Ferrari fined for Alonso's misuse of DRS

Ferrari have been handed a 15,000 Euro fine by the Hungarian Grand Prix stewards after Fernando Alonso was found to have misused the Drag Reduction System (DRS) during Sunday’s race in Budapest.The FIA’s technical delegate Jo Bauer referred the matter to the stewards because data indicated that Alonso had activated the DRS on three occasions when he was not within one second of the car in front at the DRS detection point. Under normal conditions, the DRS system can only be used by a driver in the designated DRS zones when they are within one second of the car in front at the DRS detection point.However, the stewards decided that an error by the team was to blame for Alonso...
