Vettel fastest from Webber in first practice

Despite missing just over an hour of track time, Sebastian Vettel settled quickly into his stride in what remained of the first practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix to emerge as the fastest driver ahead of teammate Mark Webber. The championship leader set a time of 1 minute 22.723 seconds around the Hungaroring circuit, a clear two-tenths quicker than the second Red Bull, planting the defending champions as the team to beat early in the weekend. Vettel started his run with less than 30 minutes remaining in the session as he was confined in the garage due to a brake problem. The German, however, lost only half an hour considering teams took to the track characteristically late....
