McNish gets driver steward role for Hungary
Ex-Formula 1 driver and three-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Allan McNish will serve as governing body the FIA's driver representative steward at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The 43-year-old Scot, who has held the role on three occasions, contested a sole Formula 1 season in 2002, racing alongside Mika Salo at Toyota. He joined Renault for the following campaign, acting as the Enstone-based outfit's test and Friday driver. Added to his Le Mans triumphs, McNish has claimed four Sebring 12 Hour wins and three American Le Mans Series titles. He is currently leading the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Audi team-mates Tom Kristensen and Loïc Duval.
