Alonso unsure of test due to tyres

Fernando Alonso admits he is reluctant to take part in the upcoming Silverstone test as he is still concerned by the tyre issues. Four different drivers suffered left-rear tyre blowouts at the British Grand Prix, sparking questions over the safety of the current compounds. The FIA has responded by allowing drivers to test new Pirelli tyres during the Young Driver Test at Silverstone later this month. Alonso, who was nearly hit on the helmet by debris flying from Sergio Perez's McLaren during the race on Sunday, says he is not sure if it's a good idea to take part in the test.
