Renault uncovered the 'Energy F1'
June 22nd, 2013 (F1plus).- Renault has unveiled its 2014 1.6 litre V6 Turbo engine to the world, calling it "Energy F1" to show DNA that it shares with Renault's road-going units. Next season will see the kick starting of a new era for the sport with smaller but similarly powerful engines which are greener and linked more heavily to road and sports car production. The engine, which was unveiled in Paris yesterday (June 21st), will power Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso, Caterham and the Lotus F1 Team to hopeful success although the latter two teams mentioned have yet to officially confirm deals.
